Cobalt Blue Ceramic Swallows
Ceramic swallows are a true symbol representing family, love, and loyalty.
Bordallo Pinheiro popularized them in the late 19th century in Portuguese popular culture, and today they remain fashionable in our homes, decorating interiors, terraces, and even commercial spaces.
At Casa Atlântica, you can find them in sets of 3 pieces, one of each size representing a family, in classic black and white for traditional tastes, or in refreshed and beautiful colors such as cobalt blue, olive green, and toasted yellow, adding that unique touch we love so much.
Installation is very simple—just place a small nail at a 45-degree angle to the wall to prevent them from falling. They can also be mounted using a hook or similar fixture.
This set is handcrafted in a workshop in northern Portugal run by António and Lúcia. Each piece is carefully hand-molded, glazed in fresh colors, and fired at high temperatures. The swallows include a hole on the back for easy wall mounting.
